It’s the end of term for us, but we’re still keeping busy. We’re now building up to the release of our first resource – Delphi the Philosopher, which will (all being well) be available next month. Exciting times lie ahead!
We’ve been collecting a lot of feedback over the last couple of weeks – the responses to our free chapter, our website and from the teachers, parents and children who have been using Delphi have been so positive. You can check out some of the comments – and some of the pictures and stories from enthusiastic children – at our new Feedback Wall here.
We’ve also been running our survey over the last couple of weeks, and the responses have been really interesting. What is most striking is the sheer variety of ways in which people teach philosophy to children – from parents using bedtime stories, to home tuition, to teachers snatching ten minutes a day to have a discussion, to whole-school schemes of work. The responses have been really helpful to us in working out what you need from us – and on that subject:
We’re delighted to announce that we will be releasing TWO versions of Delphi the Philosopher!
Firstly, there will be the School Version – this will contain the full set of resources, lesson plans, slideshows, teacher guidance and resources; everything a teacher or a school needs to teach Delphi the Philosopher as either a class novel or full scheme of work.
Secondly, there will be the Home Version – this will be a smaller and cheaper version simply containing the story, questions and pictures; perfect for enjoying the story outside the classroom.
You can find out more about the two versions here. Further details, including the exact release date and prices will be available soon. I really hope this suits what you are looking for from us – and that you’re looking forward to getting started with Delphi!
A couple of reminders – you can download a free chapter of the School Version of Delphi the Philosopher by joining the newsletter.
Also, if you haven’t already, please contribute to the survey. It only takes two minutes and is really helpful for us. Plus, just by contributing, you’ll get 20% off either version of Delphi the Philosopher when it is released. This offer will only be available until the day of release, so don’t miss out!
I hope you all enjoy your Easter break! I certainly will – next week I’m visiting Delphi’s hometown and will be spending a few days in Athens and Delphi to walk in Socrates’ footsteps myself. I suspect I may have a picture or two next time!
